Poke Battle Announcer is a companion app that reads visible battle text and plays matching announcer callouts. Battle images are processed on your device.
We do not upload or store gameplay frames, camera frames, screen recordings, battle screenshots, or microphone audio.
How Battle Modes Work
Phone Game mode uses the screen-capture flow provided by iOS or Android after you explicitly start it. Camera mode uses your phone camera after you grant permission. In both modes, the app processes visible battle text on your device to choose a matching callout from its bundled audio library.
The app does not request microphone permission.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Gameplay video, battle frames, screenshots, or camera images
- Microphone audio
- Names of players, teams, or Pokémon seen during a battle
- Precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers
- Information for sale to advertisers or data brokers
Purchases and Access
Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat helps us confirm purchase status, restore purchases, and provide Pro and Classic Announcer access. These services may process a pseudonymous app user identifier, product and transaction identifiers, subscription or entitlement status, platform and app-version details, and purchase-related diagnostics.
The app may also send RevenueCat limited, non-gameplay usage counters—such as total callouts used and free callouts remaining—to support access and purchase troubleshooting. These counters do not include battle text, Pokémon names, images, video, or audio from your match.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process information under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores settings such as onboarding progress, selected mode, selected announcer, volume, purchase and entitlement snapshots, and the number of free callouts used. On iPhone, the main app and broadcast extension share only the local state needed to keep Phone Game mode working.
Marketing Website
This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or analytics cookies. The demo video is served directly from our website rather than through an embedded third-party video player. Our hosting infrastructure may process standard request information—such as IP address, browser type, requested file, and timestamp—as needed to deliver and protect the site.
Retention and Security
Local app settings remain on your device until you clear them or remove the app, subject to platform backup behavior. Purchase and access records are retained by the relevant store and RevenueCat according to their policies and as needed to restore purchases. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Independent Companion App
Poke Battle Announcer is an unofficial third-party companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, Creatures, or any related brand or platform owner.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here and, when appropriate, in the app or store listing.
